Firstly, we are not sophisticated investors. Our investment portfolio, we managed ourselves for several decades reasonably successfully. As age caught up we were seeking a Financial Adviser in 2004 but despite their assurances they would protect us, the opposite happened. It was a financial disaster for us which placed us under extreme stress for a few years.
In 2006 with nervousness, trepidation and scepticism when seeking another Financial Adviser, we were referred to Robert Koschel, naturally armed with a lot of questions, to manage our SMSF. We were seeking a person who would, professionally speaking, place our needs as the priority.
The courtesy, complete honesty, very sound advice plus personal interest has been most rewarding and ongoing.
Naturally we remained cautious initially for some time and quietly gained confidence. Our portfolio was completely re-organised and we have now placed our complete trust in Robert. After decades of following the ASX plus other investment areas, we have today lost all interest in same and rely completely on Robert’s decisions which continue to protect us. We sleep much better.
Yes our portfolio, though modest, is very sound today; we have had no hesitation in referring friends. We are extremely grateful, lead a much less stressful life, and look forward with confidence in asking Robert to continue to watch over and guide us in our latter years.Tags: SMSF, Wealth
